D-List Litter + 1
Ok, here are the newest babies...get ready for the collective "awwwww"...because they are darn cute! Once again, Shamrock requires the litter to have names that all begin with the same letter, so here are Darla, Demi, Dugan, and Duff....plus Dulcenea (not a biological sister, but will eventually be mixed in with the bunch). They are now about 4 weeks old and we will be weaning them off the bottle soon...which won't be easy for some of them, because they LOVE it! This past week we've been feeding every four hours...which means I've been up at 3:00 or 4:00 A.M. every night...that will soon be over soon as we change over to soft, then hard food.
Duff (the bigger of the two boys...although "Doogie" is catching up!)
Dugan ("Doogie's" white spot gives him away)
Darla (the chunk)

Demi (the tiny baby)
Dulcenea (she is tinier than the litter, but older...and she is a little spaz, runs around and loves to bite your arms when she plays.)

Here's Demi scarfing some formula!

Foster Update
Wow, I haven't blogged in a while...we've been so busy with these kittens and with work! The Germantown kittens are now almost 9 weeks old and they are going to an adoption cage at the Feeder's Supply on Baxter today. It's going to be really hard to leave them, not knowing where they are going...hopefully to great homes! We've had so much fun with them...here are some more recent pics...they're so big now! We took them home with us to my parents over Memorial Day Weekend and they experienced a bed for the first time...they were either sleeping on it or under it the whole time. I'll add one or two of those pics later since they were quite cute.
Helene and Hans
Heidi asleep on the stairs.
Henry asleep on the slipper.
Henry is king of the mountain (er, litter can) and Helene below.
Heidi loves to lounge...everywhere!
Hans is trying to get that thing I keep waving around in the air!
Oh and we should be getting another litter of 4 more babies later this week (SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS!). This time there is a mommy (whew!) but she has to be tested for feline leukemia and FiV before we can bring her to our house.

Our first fosters!
Kitten season has arrived and we have the first litter of the season for The Shamrock Foundation! This litter was abandoned by a feral mother in Germantown (area of Louisville), so they have been dubbed "Hans" (black), "Henry" (small gray), "Heidi" (gray/wht) and "Helene" (larger gray). They are very cute, being weaned this week, and will be with us a month before they are vetted/spayed/neutered and taken to an adoption cage at a local Feeder's Supply.

So far, "Hans" has proven to be the sweetest (unless he's eating) and actually comes up to you to be loved, allows himself to be sniffed by Tyson (very big dog) and relaxes on his back. "Helene" also let Tyson sniff her but "Heidi" and "Henry" still hiss. Henry is the runt and the girls are the biggest and feistiest. Gypsy doesn't really want anything to do with them, which surprised us since she's usually so laid back and accepting of everything! Hobo of course is really interested in their soft food and will hang out in the room while they play watching from a distance!
