Snow Day

As told by the husband, Curtis:

For once the weather forecast was somewhat correct over the weekend. Of the 12"-14" predicted we got between 10"-12". People, especially the news stations, around Louisville tend to freak out when the word "snow" is mentioned. They have "live camera shots" with reporters standing in a parking lot or yard showing that almost 2 inches have fallen! Schools, work, and churches are delayed or even cancelled at the hint of snow.
We were happy to see the white stuff after it was finished falling. It wasn't so fun for Rachel when she drove home from work in a near white-out and snow-covered roads but the next day was great. Even though Rachel spent the day before skiing she couldn't resist barreling down the hill that leads up to our house. I even took a turn and once was enough for me when I realized that the chair lift wasn't working that day!

After wearing ourselves out on the hill Rachel made a couple snow angels, we played with Tyson, and finished the snow play by shoveling the deck and driveway.
